About

Bio

Small Farm Today made its debut in 1984 as a twelve-page newsletter named Missouri Farm. The publication is currently a 64+ bi-monthly magazine focusing on the preservation and promotion of small farming, rural living, community and sustainability. Small Farm Today caters to the farming community, and is produced on a farm by farmers. Readers are "full or part-time, small family farmers and many are using alternatives, such as growing high-value crops, raising unusual livestock, and direct marketing their products to bring in more income." The lead time for editorial submissions is two months prior to publication.
