Background and Format:
Launched in 1989, Shiprepair & Maintenance is a quarterly magazine that provides technical information on all aspects of maritime repair and conversion. It covers all types of vessels, ranging from fishing vessels and workboats to cruise liners, ferries, container ships and tankers. As well as news from owners, operators, shiprepair yards, maintenance companies and equipment suppliers. Each issue includes articles on a major repair or conversion project, innovations in repair techniques, new shipboard and shipyard equipment, new advances and in-service reports on paints, coatings and surface preparation, region and country reports and service and maintenance updates. Additional topics covered in technical reports on contracts recently completed, in hand and planned at major shiprepair centres around the world.
Audience and Readership:
The magazine is aimed at owners, operators, managers, repair specialists, marine superintendents and senior executives (the complete buying and specifying chain) throughout the marine sector.
Time of Publication:
The magazine is published in February, May, August and November.

One month prior to publication.

The magazine is available through subscription in print and digital formats. The publication is also distributed in 100 countries, as well as the major maritime exhibitions and The Royal Institution of Naval Architects' extensive series of international conferences and training courses.

The editor is happy to consider contributions that fall within the remit of the magazine. News items are generally up to 200 words and feature articles 700 - 1,500 words, plus a couple of illustrations, unless otherwise agreed in advance. Text should be supplied in Microsoft WORD files and illustrations supplied as separate high resolution (300dpi) JPG or TIFF files. Please include a caption for each of the illustrations.
