About

Bio

Sextras is a podcast and digital magazine about sex, relationships and wellness. We believe sex is never just sex – it affects our emotional wellbeing, and has cultural ramifications way beyond our personal lives. No one is more aware of this than Gen Z; our magazine and podcast offer an antidote to the gaps in their sex education and shine a light on stories left untold because of social prejudice. Through first-person narratives, research and expert-backed advice, we cover everything from complex relationship dynamics, to the minutiae of how to have sex, as well as the wider implications of sexual politics and navigating our bodies in the world. Our goal is to educate, inform and entertain our readers, breaking boundaries on sexual stigma and helping Gen Z and upcoming generations to lead the best relationships and sex lives possible. With queer and critical perspectives at our core, we provide a welcoming space for anyone to explore their feelings or share their experiences, from the silliest to the most serious. It’s okay to not have the answers – we encourage our audience to embrace openness and curiosity when it comes to the vast realm of sex and relationships. Have conversations, try things out and take your focus off the destination. By decentering labels and putting the person first, we hope to normalise this process of collective and individual exploration. Leave us a message for sex advice or answers to your relationship dilemmas, or follow @sextrasworld to get involved in the conversation!
