Together we can make it happen." Scope supports and works with disabled people and their families at every stage of their lives. The charity offers practical, everyday support and delivers campaigns and fundraisers to raise awareness and to change lives.
The Scope Blog is written by staff members at Scope, but also by volunteers who help out at the charity. Some of the content is also provided by guest bloggers, celebrity ambassadors or experts on a specific field relating the blog content they are writing about. The blog acts as a place for Scope to make any announcements but to also further raise awareness for campaigns or fundraisers that they are working on. The blog also highlights the work done by staff or volunteers at Scope and also how celebrities are helping out.
The blog focuses heavily on success stories and fundraising events that have been a success. The blog also regularly covers marathons that the Scope team are participating in. Scope Blog also features interviews with fundraisers, campaigners, volunteers, celebrities and more. The blog is updated several times a week, the posts range in size and often carry video and images.
Although PR opportunities are not obvious, they are available, primarily in the form of guest blogging. The best way to contact the team is on the email address provided above; alternatively they can be reached via post or telephone. They are also very active on social networking platforms like Twitter and Facebook where they are very responsive. It is also worth noting that the blog posts rarely carry bylines and are simply published under the alias of 'Scope'.

TThe Chronicle of Philanthropy
The Chronicle of Philanthropy provides news and information for non-profit executives, fundraisers, and professional employees of foundations. The publication covers trends in giving, fundraising, grant making, volunteers, management and professional development. Regular features include profiles of foundations, updates on federal and state regulations, tax and court rulings, and a calendar of events. Unless something is urgent, they prefer contact by email rather than phone. Press Releases should be relevant to nonprofit practitioners across the country, and if there's been a recent article about a similar development at a different organization, they probably won’t cover it again soon. They like: stories about best or innovative practices in fundraising and managing organizations, profiles of interesting charity leaders, fundraisers, and donors, and new trends in giving or fundraising. They usually don’t cover: galas, celebrity events, groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings, and gifts of less than $1 million. The Chronicle’s Opinion section is designed to spark robust debate about all aspects of the nonprofit world. They welcome Op-Ed submissions that provide new insights and promote innovative thinking about leadership, fundraising, grant-making policy, and more. They especially appreciate articles about timely topics. Most of the pieces are about 1,000 to 1,200 words.
ViewIInside PhilanthropyIntended to be a source for day-to-day coverage of how foundations and individual donors give away their money and why.
