About
Bio
Risk magazine covers financial risk management and the global derivatives markets. Articles include news, comment and mathematical papers on derivatives risk and pricing. Risk was founded by Peter Field in 1987.
It has a tradition of covers featuring pieces of abstract modern art. It was originally owned by Risk Waters Group, and then acquired by Incisive Media. The content is now driven by the website with selected articles published in the print magazine. The magazine produces papers on option pricing and hedging, market risk, credit risk, swaps and Monte Carlo methods (computational algorithms).
Audience and Readership
For risk management, derivatives & regulation professionals
Content became the product of a single newsroom in November 2015 with editors working across beats, rather than titles. The newsroom is grouped into five desks, three of the desks focus on the core topics of risk management, derivatives and regulation, while two other desks focus on those topics for specific audience groups: asset managers and life insurers, and commodities market participants. Bureau Chiefs in London, New York and Hong Kong manage across all of the desks.
