Background & Format: Launched in October 2009, Richard Osley's North London blog is a personal blog about "politics, local government, social affairs, pop culture and sport." Richard Osley's: North London blog was nominated for Blog of the Year at the UK's Regional Press Awards. The blog provides a mixture of political content with Richard blogging about whatever interests him. Many posts are Camden Council news which are written in a reporting style and may include photographs. Others consist of national political news, theatre and book reviews. He also writes about freedom of information requests. The Blogger: Richard Osley's North London Blog is written by Richard Osley who started the blog while working as Deputy Editor of the Camden New Journal. "I’ve also written articles for the Evening Standard, the Independent, and the Independent on Sunday,where I was the night reporter for eight years. I write about politics, local government, social affairs, pop culture and sport."
