Red Sauce America was first launched to promote the book Red Sauce: How Italian Food Became American, but since evolved into a larger project. Now Red Sauce America has grown into an exploration of food, culture, and Italian American experience featuring interviews, recipes, history, and book reviews. The site is written and edited by Ian MacAllen. He has written about food for Whetstone, NJ Monthly, America Domani, and more, and discussed Italian American food on television, radio, podcast, and print interviews in The Guardian, Eater, Punch, Salon, Thrillest and more.
