The blog runs a regular featured which is called Triple Choice Tuesday, where some of Kim's favourite bloggers, writers and readers name three books that mean a lot ot them. On average the blog is updated on a daily basis. PR opportunities mainly include book reviews and guest posts. Kim says, "If you don't hear from me within 7 days it means I'm not in a position to accept your offer. Please don't take it personally. Finally, I do not review self-published ('independent') books or digital books (PDFs, Kindle format etc) sent on spec — these are automatically deleted — and I do not participate in blog tours." The best way to get in contact with Kim is via the email address provided or on Twitter. Although Kim does say she only replies on Twitter if she is on her computer at the time, so email is best.

Established in 1914 and geared toward individuals involved in the legislative process at federal, state, local and grass root levels. Designed to cover public affairs from an insider's vantage point. Provides readers with a rigorous examination of American politics, foreign policy and culture. Includes news and editorials on domestic and international issues. Features current events, politics, education, books, theater, film, music, art and culture. If you are pitching an idea for an essay, reportage, or other nonfiction, briefly explain your angle, why it’s timely, and why you’re equipped to write it; generously hyperlink any references and citations in your pitch, so the editor can easily vet it. If you are sending a completed submission, briefly summarize it in your email and either embed or attach your full article. In all cases, include a brief biography and links to examples of your work. The staff will not respond to a pitch that is sent to multiple editors, so it is encouraged to determine where your piece best fits—within the online verticals or within the pages of the magazine—and limit your email to one editor.
