NBC News is the news division of the American broadcast television network NBC. It produces and packages video and commentary on breaking news, medical, environmental, business, sports, and feature stories. NBC News serves over 200 NBC affiliates throughout the United States. NBC News aired the first regularly scheduled news program in American broadcast television history on February 21, 1940. Today, NBC News provides content for the Internet, as well as cable-only news networks CNBC and MSNBC. It produces a daily show called Stay Tuned for Snapchat's Discover platform. The Stay Tuned team launched The Overview on Peacock in 2021.

It published leading writers' commentary on abolition, education, and other major issues in contemporary political affairs.The magazine's founders were a group of prominent writers of national reputation, who included Harriet Beecher Stowe, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr., John Greenleaf Whittier and James Russell Lowell. Lowell was its first editor. The editor-in-chief as of November 2009 is James Bennet. The publisher as of November 2009 is Jay Lauf, who is also a vice-president of Atlantic Media Company.The Family section looks at covers the political, cultural and economic factors that impact American family life. Background and Format: The Lancet publishes papers on all aspects of human health provided they are original primary research and of the highest standard.
