The channel's main broadcast hours are 7:00pm to 12:00am and outside of these hours, it simulcasts BBC Radio Scotland. Almost all of its programming must be of Scottish origin. BBC Scotland was launched in 2019, at which time BBC Two Scotland was discontinued.
