Background and Format: The Lancet publishes papers on all aspects of human health provided they are original primary research and of the highest standard. Papers include editorials, signed commentaries, original research, commissioned reviews and a news section for clinicians. The Lancet is published on behalf of the Elsevier Limited group and the Lancet International Advisory Board (LIAB).  Research papers about randomised controlled trials will be considered along with original contributions that advances medical science or practice.
