Bio

Launched in February 2012, Mad About The House is a design and interior blog featuring a lot of inspiration for the home. The Author of the blog is Kate Watson-Smyth, a journalist who has been writing about property, interiors and design in national newspapers for more than 15 years. These days she mostly writes for the Financial Times and Mad Bout The House. She spent more than a decade at The Independent and has also written for The Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Daily Telegraph and magazines including Red, She and Living Etc. Kate completely renovated her house and it has since been featured in both Living Etc and Heart Home magazine. The blog contains different categories including Design Classics, Mad About..., Househunter, The Directory, My House, Your House and Objects of Design. Each section includes many visuals along with the articles and inspiration for the home. At the top of the blog some of the most recent and most popular posts are featured, making it easy for readers to navigate their way to posts they might want to see. Kate updates the blog several times a month. For PR opportunities, the best way to get in touch with Kate is via her email at kate@madaboutthehouse.com.
