The Internet Advisor is a weekly, one-hour, local radio program that serves the Detroit area. According to its hosts, the program's goal "is to help people stay in touch with the exploding world of the Internet in a way that is intriguing to the unplugged and valuable to the frequent users of the Internet for business and pleasure." The program discusses and explores all issues related to the Internet. The show aims at communicating in easy-to-understand language in order to accommodate all levels of Internet-users. Topics range from interesting Web sites to Internet providers and from cybercrime to online shopping. The program is both interview- and caller-driven. Listeners are encouraged to phone in with their questions regarding Internet issues. The numbers listeners should use to participate in on-air discussions are (313) 875-4476 and (800) 859-0957. The show launched in February 1998. The Internet Advisor is geared toward Detroit-area listeners, ages 25 to 54, interested in the Internet and other related topics.
