Written to be read aloud to toddlers and preschoolers and for beginning readers to tackle on their own, it aims to stimulate children's social and emotional growth, their ability to reason and to think creatively, their physical well-being and their acquisition of language and math skills.
Dedicated to helping parents, educators and other caregivers nurture young children by encouraging a natural sense of wonder about the world; promoting reasoning, problem solving and creative self-expression; fostering a love of language and a rich vocabulary; and inspiring them to be kind, to get along with others and to grow in self-confidence.
Regular features include: read-aloud fiction stories, including recurring characters and stories that introduce the Spanish language; a special Hidden Pictures activity and other puzzles, age-appropriate crafts, blocks, and cooking activities; poems and simple nonfiction; finger plays and action rhymes; and a bonus pullout section that features a card game, board game, mini-book, or other hands-on interactive materials.
