The Chronicle of Higher Education
The Chronicle of Higher Education is the professional news source for faculty members, academic officers and senior administrative officers who run colleges and universities in the U.S., Canada, and abroad. The publication overs news and trends affecting higher education, and includes coverage of scholarships, information technology, business and philanthropy, personal and professional news, government and political actions, listings of books, computer software, gifts and grants to colleges, tenure, appointments, retirement benefits, academic freedom, plagiarism, teaching, academic meetings, and a bulletin board. Founded in 1966 and originally owned by a nonprofit, in 1978 The Chronicle was sold to Jack Crowl and Corbin Gwaltney, and The Chronicle of Higher Education Inc. was formed.
ViewCrain's Chicago BusinessCrain's Chicago Business provides business owners, executives, and consumers with news, information and analysis about the Chicago business community. Editorial interprets and analyzes the activities of local companies involved in advertising, marketing, real estate, manufacturing, economics, politics, health care, technology, banking, financial services, and stocks, and also reports on mergers, acquisitions, foreign ventures and trade, e-commerce, energy, and business travel. Every issue includes the Monday Front, which features extended coverage of an issue. The FT was previously based there until 1989 when it moved to Southwark Bridge. Phone numbers remain the same. UK B2B / Finance Alert: Wednesday 6th February 2019 A new site called Sifted has launched. Backed by the Financial Times, it covers news, information and analysis about startups and technology in Europe, and is aimed at innovators and entrepreneurs. Founded by John Thornhill, the FT’s Innovation Editor, the editorial team will be led by FT’s former Madrid Bureau Chief and Paris Correspondent Michael Stothard, who returns to London. Its new London reporting team includes Amy Lewin, who joins from Courier magazine; former HFM Technology Reporter Carly Minsky; and the FT’s Tech Reporter Maija Palmer.
