Background and Format:
Garden Design Journal, the Society of Garden Designers journal, is a full colour 48 page magazine which launched in 1981. Every monthly issue features photography and contains: technical advice, techniques and best practice, plants in design, a round up of the latest 'must haves,' garden showcases, sustainable, environmental and ethical design options, events reports, industry news & comments, designer profiles and book reviews. The magazine takes contributions from guest writers, experts, international designers, critics, students and members of the SGD.
