The Friends of the Earth Green Blog is a commercial energy and environment blog based in London, aimed at a UK audience. Friends of the Earth is an influential environmental campaigning organisation. It is an extensive world network with around 2 million supporters across five continents and more than 70 national organisations worldwide.
The organisation was founded in 1971 and The Friends of the Earth Green Blog campaigns for solutions to environmental problems and aims to make life better for people by inspiring solutions to environmental problems. The organisation's motto is: "see things differently" and the blog proclaims to share "secrets, loves and loathes from the UK's friendliest green team." Contributions to the blog are provided by staff members at The Friends of the Earth, although are some guest contributions from bloggers with expertise in the field of energy.
The blog is updated frequently, with blog posts appearing several times a week. The blog is used for all green news from the Friends of the Earth organisation and also to raise awareness of green issues. But it is also used to update its readers on campaign and fundraising updates. The blog also provides awards and achievements from the key people in the energy and environment sector.
