Background and Format:
DadTalk was founded on Father’s Day 2008 by the Family Matters Institute (FMI), with funding from the Department for Education. It had a remit to support all fathers with information, advice, guidance, and intensive support. In 2011, FMI acquired DAD.info and merged the two websites, choosing to remain with the DAD.info brand. In early 2013, a mobile version of the site was also launched.
In 2014, they repositioned the brand away from ‘help and support’ to a more universal offering for dads. Whilst continuing to offer support through a new ‘Family’ section of the website, they focus more on men's lifestyle content. The website contains articles, podcasts and videos, daily dad blogs, news and tips, competitions, and a forum.
