The Coronation Street Blog is written by dedicated fans for fellow fans of the soap. The blog was launched in 2007.
The site is edited by Sunderland-based Glenda Young who has been writing about Coronation Street online since 1995. Glenda has contributed to several Coronation Street publications including Coronation Street's 50th Anniversary Magazine, Coronation Street: The Novel, Coronation Street: The Complete Saga, Access All Areas, Behind the Scenes at Coronation Street, The little book of Carla Connor, a decade in the life of a soap queen, Perfect duo -the diary of Roy and Hayley Cropper in Coronation Street and Norman Bates with a Brief Case - The Richard Hillman Story. Several other Coronation Street fans contribute to the blog from time to time. Glenda also runs the Coronation Street fan website www.corrie.net.
Blog posts consist of fan-driven light hearted news and features. You can also watch episodes of the soap via the blog.
PR opportunities are not extensive as the blog only relates to Coronation Street and carries news and features about the show.
