Bridal Musings is self-described as "a chic and unique wedding blog". The blog is updated daily with the aim of showcasing "beautiful real weddings, unique ideas, inspiring imagery, DIY projects, bridal beauty and creative wedding films" - and was created in February 2011. The blog is run by Elizabeth Muhmood Kane, a "Londoner and self-confessed ‘wedding geek’ with a penchant for all things chic and stylish, as well as those creative ideas and inspired details that make each wedding, and each couple, unique". According to the site, the majority of Bridal Musings readers are based in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia and "according to Alexa.com, Bridal Musings has a predominantly female readership and appeals to childless college graduates under the age of 35 who have incomes between $30,000 and $100,000". Bridal Musings is made up of three main parts: The Blog itself which features real weddings, creative ideas, planning advice, DIY tutorials and inspiration boards; Film Club which features wedding videos all in one place and Gallery with images of wedding fashion, beauty, decor and other elements. Categories include Accessories, Beauty, Bridesmaids, DIY Weddings, Wedding Dresses and Wedding Videos. The blog is updated with fresh content twice a day during weekdays and once on the weekends. It has also been voted Forbes Favorite Wedding Registry in 2000 and 2001 and was selected Best Wedding Hub by Yahoo! Internet Life magazine in 2001, 2002, and 2003. It was recognized as one of Upside magazine's hottest private high-tech companies of 1999 and won the People's Choice Award in 2001.
