Yellowstone Public Radio is a public radio regional network based in Billings, Montana with transmitters covering most of Montana, as well as northern Wyoming. It is operated by Montana State University Billings. It airs a mix of programming from National Public Radio, classical music and jazz. What catches their attention per the News Director, "Stories that have or can have an angle that fits within the mission of public radio news/journalism. We don’t typically do stories about celebrities or Hollywood stories that are based on gossip and/or hearsay. We don’t do stories that promote products or services. We are focused on providing factual-based sound-rich stories that put complicated issues into context for our listeners."
