Wine Spectator Online is the Web-based version of the print magazine Wine Spectator. The site is consumer oriented and covers news and trends within the industry. Wine Spectator Online includes daily news briefs, features, and polls. Advice columns, profiles on wineries, and wine reviews are extensively indexed throughout the site. Also featured are reviews, a directory of restaurants and wine-related travel destinations, a calendar of events, wine jobs, and a gift shop. Archived issues of Wine Spectator are also available. The site features some reprinted content from the print magazine and original content written by the editorial staff. The site is updated on a daily basis. Deadlines are flexible throughout the day. The lead time for submissions for the site can be "nearly immediate," according to the news editor. Graphics submissions are accepted in .jpeg and .tif formats. The site prefers to receive high-resolution files as images that are at least 300 dpi to also be used in the magazine. Please contact the news editor before sending any large image files by e-mail. The CPM for a run-of-site banner advertisement is $50 for advertisers who do not sell wine. The site generates 4,700,000 monthly impressions between 900,000 unique users and 350,000 registered users. Wine Spectator Online does not publish an editorial calendar.
