News segments cover investigative, consumer, lifestyle and legal news stories. In September 2003, the station debuted its morning news broadcast, FOX 25 Morning News. WFXT-TV made its debut as WXNE-TV on October 10, 1977. The station was initially owned by the Christian Broadcasting Network and the focus was mainly religious.
