The Reader Online
The Reader online is the website of The Reader Organisation (TRO), a national charity that aims to bring about a 'Reading Revolution', generating social change by sharing great literature, making it possible for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to engage with reading, improve well being and build community.The blog is written internally by TRO staff, drawing on extensive sector experience.Blog posts feature the latest literary developments within the a public/social context. As such, it has frequent recourse to developments within the library sector, and hosts its own Shared Reading in Libraries session every week, for which the blog provides a full report. Reviews of other public literary events are also featured, such as Penny Readings 2015 in Liverpool, and a unique, four-day public reading of War and Peace which took place across Russia i early December 2015.
