The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology launched in September 2013 and is the sixth Lancet specialty journal, following in the footsteps of The Lancet Oncology, The Lancet Neurology, The Lancet Infectious Diseases, The Lancet Respiratory Medicine, and The Lancet Global Health. The journal seeks to offer the same unique fast-track experience offered by its sister journals for all authors of research papers that are selected for peer review, whereby articles can be published online within eight weeks of submission.
