It was Baltimore's first UHF TV station, and debuted on April 11, 1971. In 1987, WBFF-TV became "Fox 45." The station began airing newscasts in 1992. All information should be sent to the assignment desk, which is available 24 hours a day by phone or fax. All of the reporters at the station are general assignment. The assignment editor and the managing editor decide which stories will be covered. Do not call the assignment desk directly prior to or during a broadcast, unless dealing with breaking news.
