State of the Union made its debut January 18, 2009 and replaced Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer. The program features news analysis and interviews with politicians, reporters and newsmakers on policy and politics PR professionals are advised to send press releases to the appropriate member of the production team or to the assignment desk of CNN's Washington bureau. To pitch a guest, contact one of the program's guest bookers. All information sent should be related to a major news story and be of interest to at least a national audience. With the exception of a major breaking-news story, pitches are generally not taken over the phone. Keep pitches brief, but specific and include appropriate contact information. State of the Union is viewed predominantly by adults interested in national news. This show offers a digital podcast. A podcast is a downloadable video or audio broadcast show. Most podcasts are available by subscription through an RSS reader or other aggregator.
