Background and Format: Significance magazine was launched in 2004 as a magazine for all users of statistics. Its aim is to communicate and demonstrate in an entertaining expository style, the practical use of statistics in the many fields where such use is relevant, as well as to discuss all aspects of statistics that benefit society in general. A statistical outreach magazine that covers economics, politics, science and a range of other topics but concentrates on statistics and the use of data.
