Secret Style File
Background and Format: Launched in October 2012, Secret Style File is a London-based, fashion and beauty-focused blog with regular updates on the secrets of a shopping addict. The blog aims to hone in on trends and styles dominating the catwalks - as well as the streets. It strives to cater to different ages - and mianly females: categories on the blog include Beauty, Brand News, Brand Reviews, Celeb Style, Designers, Events, Featured Articles, Lifestyle, Product Reviews, Style Edit, Trend News and YouTube. Although the blog definitely has its main focus on beauty and womenswear, it does feature childrenswear, occasionally lifestyle products. The Blogger: Trusha comes from a fashion background, having worked as a Buyer for ladies and kids fashion retail companies such as Diesel and French Connection. It is this experience that has been poured into the content of the blog which she now produces. Trusha says: "I love writing for my blog and the various other editorials I am working with and I am really pleased with the interest there has been so far, I love interacting with brands with products and brand features. As I manage my own blog and all the relevant social media for sharing and promoting such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Tumblr and Twitter I would love the opportunity to try your products, review them and feature them on my blog. I am able to create both unique and engaging social and marketing editorial inspired content, ensuring all editorial content across all the platforms that reflects the aims and values of the brands I work with." PR Opportunities: PR opportunities include brand reviews and previews. She is also open to feature ideas and says: 'I am lucky enough to get sent products to review and feature from PR companies, so the products (and odd item of clothing) you see reviewed are a mix of those that have been sent for consideration and those which I have purchased myself. My opinions are 100% honest and I never feature any products/brands that don’t sit with the general feel of my blog. I occasionally use affiliate links, which means that I would get a small commission if you were to purchase that particular item'. Trusha can be reached via email.
