Richard Branson Blog - Virgin
The Richard Branson blog is a section of the blog on the Virgin website, with blog posts and updates by Richard Branson. On the blog, Richard covers (worldwide) social and economical topics, writes about global warming and there are also many posts and advice on entrepreneurism and how to run a business. Richard Branson is an English business man and the Founder of the Virgin Group. He was born in Blackheath in London, in 1950. He is the eldest of three children, with two younger sisters. At the age of sixteen he created his first ever business venture which was a magazine called Student. By the age of twenty he set up a mail-order business, opening a chain of record stores (Virgin Records, later known as Virgin Megastores) only two years later with the first being on Oxford Street. Virgin Records went on to sign household names, from the Sex Pistols to the Rolling Stones. In 1984, Branson branched out and founded Virgin Atlantic which quickly became established as a leading global airline. Branson loves turning ideas into realities and loves to challenge himself with record breaking adventures. He now resides on Necker Island with his wife, Joan, and their two children, Holly and Sam. The blog includes posts covering topics of interest and importance to Richard, including tips and inspirational posts related to starting and running a business. Some of the most recent posts on the blog include Turning a family business into a business family, My letter to 10 year old me, The Paris Effect, COP 21 is a tipping point in history and Why Africa is Bigger Than You Think.
