QQueer Ideas
Queer Ideas is a personal charity weblog based in the UK. It is the sister site to Bluefrog, a London-based charitable fundraising organisation. Queer Ideas was set up in October 2008 by Writer and Blogger Mark Phillips. After a decade working for both ActionAid and YMCA England, Mark decided to set up the Bluefrog agency in 1997 after recognising a gap in the market. As well as being the agency’s CEO, Mark also serves as the blog’s current Editor. Queer Ideas is a personal space for him to share ideas, results, research findings and “the odd thought” on fundraising. The independently owned blog is updated regularly and self-published. Blog posts cover a wide variety of topics in the charity sector including: academic fundraising, advertising, charity blogging, comic relief, community and corporate fundraising, crowd sourcing, images and image sourcing, shelter, social media and social networking. The site boasts an extensive archive of all-original content. There appear to be no regular PR opportunities for PRs as Queer Ideas operates with the intent of raising awareness and support for the agency’s causes and objectives. There is also no online advertising as the site is independently-funded. For more information, Mark can be best contacted via email at mark@bluefroglondon.com
