Phil on Film
Phil on Film is a film blog, full of reviews, features and interviews with filmmakers and actors. The Author of the blog is Philip Concannon, who, other than the blog, has contributed to Little White Lies, Mostly Film, Sight & Sound and The Skinny. Philip's 2008 interview with the Dardenne brothers was published in the book Committed Cinema: The Films of Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. Asides from this, he also programmes films and hosts special cinema events as part of The Badlands Collective. The different pages on the blog are About Phil on Film (with more information on what to expect on the blog and a brief biography on Philip Concannon), All Reviews (an index of all the reviews), Interviews (an index/list of interviews with different directors, actors and other artists) and Misc. Background & Format: Launched in December 2005, Phil's Workbench is an individual blog about "a record of my activities both for personal projects and models built for other people." The blog provides a mixture of modelling miniature content with Phil blogging about whatever is of interest. Many posts are guides to modelling which are written in a descriptive style and may include photographs. Other consist of visits to modelling shows, visits to buildings models are based on and film clubs. The Blogger: Phil's Workbench is written by Phil Parker who started the blog along with his website, editing hobby magazines and his novel writing. "A daily updated blog typed by someone with painty hands, oil under his fingernails and the smell of solder in his nostrils who likes making all sort of models and miniatures. And fixing things."
