Since 1999, OurSports Central has been dedicated to providing coverage of independent and minor league sports. Their goal is to provide major league coverage for the teams and leagues that don't receive such attention elsewhere.

Created in July 2008, UOseful.info is primarily concerned with emerging technologies in open education and data journalism. Author Tony Hirst is a lecturer in the Department of Communication and Systems at The Open University. Tony's background lies in electronics and artificial intelligence, his expertise in these fields has seen him author Open University courses in robotics, information skills, and most recently a course on computer game design and appreciation. Tony is passionate about open and life long education, and is regularly involved in developing course models to support informal as well as formal education.
