Navy Compass informs members of the U.S. Navy about the latest news and events. NavyCompass.com is the official online news magazine of Commander Navy Region Southwest, a region encompassing 6 states and 10 installations. Navy Compass tells the local Navy story with photographs and stories that speak about who they are, what they do and where they are going as a force. These stories cover the operating forces, bases and facilities, and people from all over the Navy’s southwest region, from California, Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah to the farthest reaches of the Pacific Ocean, the Middle East and beyond. The Navy Compass website features much of the content of the print magazine, and also introduces breaking news and up-to-the-minute information. The Navy Compass is prepared by the Public Affairs Office and provides the military community with specific information, coverage of military policy issues, news of general interest, features, sports news, and advertising information. It is an online news portal. The paper is only interested in receiving press materials related to the Navy base in San Diego.
