Mammaful Zo
Launched in 2012, Mammaful Zo is a beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog, sharing fashion wish lists and ideas, product reviews and some personal posts by the blogger. The blog is run by Zoe who lives in the North West of England with her partner Simon, their 2 daughters and their bunnies. Zoe is an ex nurse and loved her career but had to give it up after being diagnosed with a terminal medical condition. Asides from that, Zoe had always been interested in fashion and beauty from a young age, even writing the beauty column in her school magazine at the time. She had wanted to be a hairdresser but discovered that this route wasn't for her after working in a salon. She became a mother at a young age meaning her career plans had to change and she got a job in a department store. Even though she managed to work her way up to Supervisor, she still felt that this wasn't for her, and that's how she fell into nursing. Zoe got into blogging when her eldest daughter who had a blog, left her mother to do some post both on the blog and YouTube channel while she was away. Zoe became popular online with fans asking if she would start her own channel and blog, so she did just that and plunged into the world of blogging and vlogging. The blog contains different posts around 3 main topics, beauty, fashion and lifestyle. Zoe blogs about fashion that she likes, reviews beauty products, writing both positive and negative experiences as she aims to be 100% honest and feels it's imperative to let others know when a product does not live up to it's name. Zoe also posts Outfit of the Day and Nails of the Day posts. PR opportunities include beauty and fashion product reviews. Zoe can be best reached via email. MMamta's Kitchen
Mamta's Kitchen is described as an "online family cookbook" and features a large database of recipes by Mamta plus many gathered from family, friends and regular readers. Many of the recipes are Indian, but there are plenty of British and international recipes too. The site is written by Mamta Gupta, with support from daughter Kavita Favelle (who also runs food and travel blog Kavey Eats). Mamta says: "The idea of developing this site came after my daughters, Kavita and Neeta, left home and asked me to supply them with recipes for their favourite dishes. They missed the food they had grown up with and wanted me to write everything down for them. In the beginning, I started writing the recipes on a card system, copying each recipe for each of them. This was very labour intensive and never got finished." Not long afterwards, Pete and Kavita set the website up so that Mamta could easily upload recipes, and soon added a discussion board to allow readers to discuss recipes, ingredients, methods and more. Sections on the site include News, Advice (Ingredients Glossaries, Conversion Charts, Menu Planning), Learning (Indian Festivals) and Search. New recipes are added several times a month. PR opportunities are limited but certainly possible. The best port of call to discuss ideas is daughter Kavita, who can be reached via email: kavey@mamtaskitchen.com
