Museum Crush
Background and Format: Founded in 2001, formerly Culture24, following 24HourMuseum.org.uk, Museum Crush is the UK's Virtual National Museum. It includes content such as arts and museum news, exhibition reviews and in-depth online trails. The team states: "We believe the most beautiful, intriguing objects have one thing in common: they reside in museums and the new brand will celebrates museums, galleries, archives and heritage sites and the collections, stories and knowledge they share." Audience and Readership: The website is aimed at "culturally curious readers" - aiming to be "mobile-first and fully integrated with key social media platforms" and "a highly visual experience with a curated, magazine feel". Supplements and sections: Museum Crush carries museum and gallery exhibition and event listings together with venue information. The team will run a free Direct Data Entry system http://weareculture24.org.uk/network/ so organisations can enter listings for free.
