MsMarmiteLover
MsMarmiteLover is a commercial food & drink blog based in London that is predominantly aimed at a UK audience. The blog was founded by Kerstin Rodgers, who also goes by the name of MsMarmitelover on Twitter and on the blog. She founded the blog in July 2004 and also launched the underground restaurant movement in the UK with her supper club. Since then hundreds of similar clubs have started in London, and around the UK. She has since launched a book by Supper Club: recipes and notes from the underground restaurant. Kerstin was previously a Photographer for NME, and has been a judge at Editorial Intelligence journalism awards and Young British Foodie Awards. She has previously held talks about food and social media at the V&A, Women's Institute, Editorial Intelligence and BritMums live conference. She has also appeared on Food and Drink and Radio 4's The Food Programme and Woman's Hour. Journalists from newspapers such as the Evening Standard and the Daily Mail and celebrity chefs such as Hardeep Singh Koli and Heston Blumenthal have praised her book, blog and work. The blog has also appeared on the Time Out London Blog. Content on The English Can Cook is mainly focused on recipes, specifically vegetarian food. Kerstin hosts supper clubs as a chef and recipe development for brands. She is particularly interested in food and travel, combining the two and is open to commissions. In terms of getting in contact with Kerstin, she prefers contact via email and says that PRs should recognise that often bloggers are not paid to write as journalists are, and there needs to be a different kind of interaction.
