KXTV-TV is an ABC affiliate in the greater Sacramento area. KXTV-TV was affiliated with CBS for 40 years, up until March 1995. The station broadcasts on Channel 10. It has had a long history of ownership since its debut in 1955, when Sacramento Telecasters first owned and launched the station as KBET-TV. In 1959, Corinthian Broadcasting Corporation bought the station and changed the call letters to KXTV-TV. In 1971, it was sold to Dun and Bradstreet, Inc. and twelve years later in 1983, it was acquired once again by A.H. Belo Corporation. Finally in 1999, Gannett Company acquired KXTV-TV. In 2015, it was acquired by TEGNA Inc.
