JJust Giving BlogUnited Kingdom
JustGiving Blog is the charity JustGiving's official blog. It is a commercial blog based in London and aimed at a UK audience. The JustGiving organisation was founded in 2000 and the blog has been publishing since May 2006. The motto of the charity is, "We help amazing people like you raise more money for charity." JustGiving is the largest online fundraising community in the UK; they exist to help people raise more money for a number of different causes. The charity was set-up to use the power of the internet to raise more money and awareness for charities, no matter how big or small. It was founded as an easy and cost-effective way for people to raise money for the people that need it most. The JustGiving Blog's content is provided by a number of members of staff who work for the charity. The blog provides latest news from the JustGiving charity and also the community that now exists thanks to the charity. Unfortunately the bylines on blog posts only include the first name of the blogger, so it is advised to contact the team on the generic email address. However, a lot of the posts are published by Rosalind Holley, the PR and Community Manager, who is also responsible for the JustGiving Twitter account too. The blog is divided up into three sections: Community, Charities and Events. Within the Community section there is News, Fundraising Ideas, Inspiration, Competitions and Runners. The Charities section tab is broken down into five elements: News, Social Media, Case Studies, Research and Insight. The Events tab on the blog is a calendar which details events happening, most of which include Marathon's up and down the country. Every March JustGiving holds an annual Awards ceremony, which the blog focuses on heavily. JustGiving is also active on Flickr and YouTube, where they post latest pictures from fundraisers, events and awards. Video content contains news and interviews from fundraiser, specifically marathons but also latest news from the charity. PR opportunities include competitions, events and more. If you have an idea or pitch that you would like to contact the JustGiving blog about the best form of contact is the email address provided above. Alternatively the team can be reached on telephone number, or on Twitter, where they are very responsive.
