Border has merged with Tyne Tees North and Tyne Tees South to create ITV Tyne, Tees and Border. The separate Central East and Central West have become ITV Central and Yorkshire North and Yorkshire South have merged to become ITV Yorkshire. Westcountry and West will merge to become ITV South West. ITV Meridian will be formed from the old Meridian East, Meridian South and Thames Valley regions. The London, Wales and the Granada regions remain unchanged. Each region will have one news bulletin but some sub-regions will continue to opt out for separate news bulletins of six to 15 minutes.
