Mark's love for the outdoors started as a boy with his two dogs, out on the nearby Ridgeway Long Distance Path, the Chiltern forest and along the grand union canal. Based in the Marsden and Saddleworth moors area of northern England Mark thought he'd make the most of the hills he's been surrounded by for the last 25 years.Entries posted to the blog are divided into the following categories: Challenge walks, events, hikes and kit tests. There are also further categories dedicated to specific areas: Marsden hikes, Marsden moor, Peak district, Pennine way, the Ridgeway, Scotland and Wales. Previous posts include: 'Greenfield to Marsden via Laddow Rocks - A Halloween hike', 'A hike above Ennerdale and on to Black Sail hostel' and 'Offa's Dyke challenge walk for the Red Cross'.
