Global Markets Forum - Reuters
Global Markets Forum is the flagship community for market professionals who either subscribe to a Thomson Reuters product or might do so in the future. Its focal point is a chatroom managed by a team of nine full-time editors around the world and its role is to act as a catalyst for growing the Thomson Reuters Messaging network. GMF provides a platform for discussing cross-market talking points -- the highest common denominator of market conversations. This is a community of interest for all those involved in financial markets. This includes brokers, salespersons and fund managers, dealing in equities, treasury or commodities -- this is meant to be a place where these readers would turn at any point to make sure they were up-to-speed with what the market was talking about. In addition to curating content from across Reuters' network of properties and media outlets, the dedicated editorial staff will write specific pieces and help to engage the community. GMF is similar to the FT's Alphaville and falls under the Financial & Risk division of Thomson Reuters. It is ONLY viewable to paying Reuters customers. New York DMA

Global Metal Apocalypse
Global Metal Apocalypse is an international blog that spans across all continents, unearthing and promoting bands and artists within the metal, rock and alternative music genres. Started on the 7th May 2011, it has reached out to musicians in over 145 countries and has recently collaborated with No Remorse Records (Gibraltar) in releasing a 129 track digital compilation with one song representing one band and country / region. The main writer is Rhys Stevenson and he is the overseer of contributions. He has correspondents in India, Bangladesh, Israel, Gibraltar and Montenegro who send in pieces mostly, but they do have other contributors who are soon to leave due to poor inactivity. The blog is steadily branching out looking for more contributors, not only to represent their scene and report on it, but also general contributors who are up for reviewing gigs, festivals, etc. The blog's aim is to become a highly recognizable global blog within the metal music community. With music naturally being the blog's core topic, the team have looked at how other topics affect the music. Such examples include how Gibraltar's ongoing feud with Spain has affected bands who cross borders to play in either country, how culture ministries in New Zealand, Iceland and other countries aid metal music development. Why CD's, Vinyl's, tapes, etc supersede mp3 downloads, 15 of the world's most bizarre venues and our current post being written as we speak is 'what if heavy metal genres were represented by road vehicles?'. PR opportunities include news, reviews and interviews related to arts and specifically metal music. The best way to contact is either through email (or an alternative email address is ice-goth@hotmail.co.uk. Rhys can also be contacted via his personal Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Shadowzgoth. He can also be contacted via telephone. Awards: 2016 - UK Blog Awards, Most Innovative (nominated)
