FFloweronaUnited Kingdom
No longer wishes to be contacted via Gorkana Flowerona is a flower-inspired blog written by Rona Wheeldon. Rona aims for Flowerona "to be a ‘feel-good’ place for people to escape to and be inspired by" , it stems from her passion for flowers. Based in Esher, Surrey, near London, England, Rona writes about all things flower-related. Rona's love for flowers was reawakened after signing up for a floristry evening class in 2004. She enjoyed it so much that she went part-time at her job in London, in order to study for a formal floristry qualification. Having achieved a National Certificate in Floristry, she then left the corporate world entirely and worked initially for a florist in Surrey. The blog was then launched in 2010. She writes for other publications such as Wedding Flowers Magazine, New Covent Garden Flower Market and Laura Ashley. Flowerona is regularly updated with special blog post series: Wedding Wednesday - posts dedicated to weddings; Florist Friday - florist-related posts, on Saturday there's Flowerona Reflects - a video with a round-up of Rona’s week and on Sunday there's Flowerona Links: links to blogs and websites. Regular topics on the blog include fresh flowers, Florists, floristry courses, weddings, artists, designers, gardening, shows, books, photographers and fashion. Flowerona was awarded Best Wedding Flowers Blog at the Wedding Blog Awards in 2013 and 2014. In terms of PR opportunities, Flowerona interviews other Florists that she admires and there may be products that she may be able to review - please carefully read through the blog before approaching.
