Easyfundraising blog is the official blog of the easyfundraising organisation. It is a commercial charity blog that is based in the West Midlands and aimed at a UK audience. The charity acts as a way for members of the public to raise money for good causes, they just have to shop online. The service is free and there are over 2,000 retailers who donate up to 15% of the purchase amount at no extra cost to the customer. So far the charity has helped to raise over £3.1 million for UK charities, schools, churches, sports clubs and other causes. The easyfundraising blog acts as spokesperson for the organisation. It not only works as a tool for news, announcements, competitions and more but it works as a community for people who are raising money for causes. The blog's main contributor is Becky Coleman, Partnerships & Social Media Manager, who is also responsible for the charity's Twitter account too. Along with Becky, there are several others who work for easyfundraising who provide content for the blog. The blog itself is used for announcements from the charity; to run competitions, polls, bring news on events and fundraisers. It is also serves as a portal to showcase the success of the organisation and how much money has been raised by people across the country. On average the blog is updated once or twice a week and it is broken down into three sections: Shopping, Good Causes and Competitions.
