CCEP: Chemical Engineering ProgressUnited States of America
Written for engineers and personnel involved with the design, construction, operations and maintenance of chemical processing plants. Highlights include new developments in measurements and control, trade shows and seminars, the application of new processing techniques and developments in waste management, energy recovery and conversion and environmental protection. Sections include: Institute News, which covers institute news and member activities; Centennial Corner; Critical Issues Forum, which discusses subjects that impact society and where chemical engineers can make a difference; Ad-Lits, which contains informative engineering literature; Marketplace, which contains information on equipment and Showcase, which contains information for various products and services. CEP strives to publish impartial, generic articles that provide "how-to" guidance to the practicing chemical engineer, or an overview of some type of technology. Articles should focus on the general chemical engineering problem or situation and the generic method of solving that problem, rather than on what was done in a particular instance to solve a specific problem. The article should not focus on a case history. CEP cannot appear to be advocating one approach above others. The article should be as broadly applicable as possible throughout the various industries where chemical engineers are employed — such as traditional chemical processing and manufacturing, as well as emerging fields like biotechnology and nanotechnology — rather then limited to one or a few of the many industry sectors. Senior Editor Joanna Ziemlewski's old email address, joanz@aiche.org can still be used to receive new product releases.
