The Brooklyn News Service is reported by student journalists from the Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Media Studies at Brooklyn College of the City University of New York. The Brooklyn Paper is a small, weekly broadsheet that covers news related exclusively to the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Paper covers news and cultural events that have taken place throughout the borough. In addition to news coverage, The Paper also publishes a weekly entertainment insert entitled GO Brooklyn. The paper is published each Friday.

Part of Davler Media's New York Metro Parents brand of regional family magazines, Brooklyn Parent offers localized information for parents in Brooklyn, including an events calendar, activity guides, information on local schools, children's health, special needs, and business directories for various family services.

Brooklyn Rail Magazine is an independent arts and culture magazine covering contemporary art, literature, film, music, philosophy, and politics. Known for its long-form interviews, critical essays, and reviews, the publication highlights both established and emerging voices in the arts, with an emphasis on thoughtful critique and cultural discourse. The magazine is widely read by artists, writers, academics, and cultural professionals. Please do not send books to the administrative headquarters. Brooklyn Reporter is a website with news from several print community newspapers from Everything Brooklyn Media: Brooklyn Spectator, Home Reporter, Brooklyn Heights Press, Greenpoint Gazette, Brooklyn Eagle, The Record of Law & Commerce and The Phoenix. Brooklyn Reporter refers to the website/brand rather than an actual printed publication.
