Leading studies in neurological science are balanced with practical clinical articles. Its citation rating is one of the highest for neurology journals. Readership: Neurology researchers and clinicians. Manuscript submission: Brain gives preference to definitive papers on neurology and related clinical disciplines. Due to pressure on space in the journal, Brain no longer publishes normative studies. It publishes animal studies but requires that they demonstrate a novel approach, elucidate mechanisms underlying the observations made and have substantial clinical relevance. Brain Matters is a weekly one hour live radio show, aired on WVUA 90.7 The Capstone, on Tuesdays from 6–7 p.m. during University of Alabama's fall and spring terms. The show is hosted by Dr. B.J. Guenther, a staff therapist at the UA Counseling Center, and features guests who discuss mental health issues and issues pertaining to the college student population.
